The complete plan to migrate, rebuild, and systematise the public identity of Anirudh Kapoor — designer, builder, writer, and researcher — as a single coherent body of work.
A practice organised around one conviction: that objective logic and subjective taste are not opposites, but instruments of the same intelligence.
Anirudh Kapoor works across interiors, construction, product, signage, furniture, artwork consultancy, real estate, branding, automotive writing, AI systems, linguistics, and a podcast. Today that breadth is invisible — scattered across a Wix template, iCloud, Drive, and hard drives. This document defines a single home for it: part museum, part archive, part laboratory. Every section that follows is built, not described.
The current site — anirudh-kapoor.com, built on Wix — presents three project categories (Product, Graphic, Interiors) and a booking link. It is competent and empty. It reads as a freelancer's template, not the record of a polymath. The breadth that is the entire point of your practice is the one thing a visitor cannot see.
Meanwhile the actual work sits in folders nobody will ever open. The asset and the audience never meet. That is the gap this blueprint closes.
"This person operates across an unusually wide range of disciplines — yet everything feels connected."
— the intended first impression
The breadth is not a list of services; it is evidence of a method. We frame the entire presence around a single editorial idea — design intelligence — and let each discipline read as one application of it. Spaces, objects, language, and ideas, approached with the same curiosity and the same standard of taste.
Research, constraint, system, proof.
Proportion, material, restraint, wit.
From buildings to grammar to code.
All three share the foundation you chose — a stone-and-sage palette and a serif paired with a grotesque. What changes is posture. Choose the one that feels most like you; I'll build the full homepage from it next.
Spectral serif throughout · Archivo + mono for data.
Showcasing volume and rigour; a deep, browsable archive.
A scholarly foundation. Calm, credible, endlessly extensible.
Cormorant Garamond display, light · Archivo micro-labels.
A premium first impression; fewer, larger, curated moments.
A maison. Expensive, cinematic, unhurried.
Space Grotesk display · IBM Plex Mono for the index.
Sheer breadth made navigable; filtering across 18 fields.
A laboratory. Precise, contemporary, systems-minded.
Lead with A · The Archive as the architecture and adopt B · The Maison's restraint for the homepage and section openers. It gives you the gravity of an institution with the polish of a house — and it scales to hundreds of entries without ever feeling like a template. C becomes the engine behind the "Archive" view. They are not mutually exclusive; they are a system.
Saturation kept below 4% across the system. Sage is the only accent — used sparingly, never decoratively.
A high-contrast serif for voice and a neutral grotesque for system. A monospace carries all data, labels, and indices.
12-column, generous gutters, hairline rules instead of boxes.
Whitespace is the primary material. Nothing crowds.
Restrained reveals on scroll; never decorative. Level 4 / 10.
Full-bleed, desaturated, captioned in mono. One hero per project.
The brief lists sixteen top-level sections. A sixteen-item menu is the opposite of museum-like. I recommend a primary navigation of six, with the disciplines and verticals living as facets and fields beneath them — so breadth is filterable, not flattened into a wall of tabs.
Media, testimonials, certificates → folded into Studio. Insights + Reviews → unified under Writing. Verticals → Fields.
A single reusable anatomy that holds an interior, a product, a building, or a research paper equally well. Fields that don't apply simply collapse — the structure never breaks.
Two connected systems. The ingestion pipeline turns a raw project folder into a structured archive entry. The publishing engine ships one entry per day to the website and Instagram — with a human approval gate before anything goes live.
A · Ingestion — raw → structuredWatch a "Dropzone" folder; detect a new project bundle.
Drive / iCloud + watcherIdentify discipline, dates, location; OCR PDFs, read EXIF.

The brief asks for cost-efficiency, ideally free. This stack costs ~₹0/month at your scale — only the domain renews — while beating Wix on speed, SEO, and longevity. You own every file.

Astro project, brand system, six-section IA, one real project as proof.
Port content, set 301s from old Wix URLs, submit new sitemap.
Point DNS to Cloudflare. Wix becomes a backup, then retires.
Templates that are unmistakably the same brand as the site — stone & sage, the serif voice, mono captions, numbered like archive entries. Each project auto-fills these.
All three render from one source so they never drift, and share the site's type and palette exactly. I'll audit your latest CV and rebuild from it once you share it.
Fabricated client quotes are beneath this brand. But your instinct is the better one: rather than pretend, let an AI testify openly — read the entire body of work and state, on the record and clearly labelled, what it observes through a non-human eye. Honest by construction, and uniquely fitting for someone who works in AI. One assessment, with full provenance, says more than a wall of praise.
“Across eighteen fields — from cast-brass objects to exhibition builds to questions of grammar — the same hand is visible. There is a consistent preference for constraint over decoration, and a refusal to treat any discipline as beneath rigour. This does not read as a portfolio of services. It reads as one person's sustained argument that taste and logic are a single faculty, observed from different angles.”
The Witness sits alongside the human record, never instead of it:
It never impersonates a human client. The source, method, and prompt are published. The reader knows exactly what they are reading — a transparent, repeatable machine reading of the work itself.
